From 10 people meeting in our little two-bedroom condo in 1991 to 3,500 people on Easter Sunday 2011, God has blessed our church ministry beyond my wildest dreams. Today, Calvary Sawgrass not only reaches men, women, children, and youth from every walk of life throughout South Florida, but also has a global impact reaching people all over the world. The best part of it all has been seeing people's lives radically changed by the power of God's love, and knowing that we really are fulfilling the greatest commission ever given to humanity... Reaching our World for Christ!
We are living in a historic moment in the life of our church. This is a moment of eternal significance and opportunity. We have taken many steps of faith together over the past 20 years as a church family, and God has blessed every one of them with miraculous growth and provision. We are a church that has always followed the calling of God to reach our world for Christ, and God is asking us again to trust Him and take yet another step of faith.
This section summarizes our church Ministry Expansion Project. Our goal is to simply add more space to accomplish the life-changing job that God has given us and to increase our capacity to reach even more of our world for Christ. This is not a "field of dreams" kind of project – "If you build it, they will come." This is a project to meet the immediate and pressing needs of our growing church while making the necessary room to reach even more people for Christ in the future.
As you prayerfully read through this material, my prayer is that your heart will be touched by the Holy Spirit and that you will be deeply moved by the historic and eternal significance of this moment in our church's history. I want to invite you to join the incredible work that God is doing at Calvary Sawgrass and take a step of faith with us to reach even more of our world for our Great Savior, Jesus Christ!
