The mission of Sheridan House Family Ministries is to maintain and operate a ministry offering services that will promote the stability of the family unit. This ministry will include residential care, counseling, seminars and the gift of tangible commodities.
SHERIDAN HOUSE receives no government funding, it is supported solely by donations. Fund-raising and special functions often seem to be the focus of attention. That tends to be what is talked about. But the children are our number one priority! We do all that we do for the sake of the children that God has entrusted to us to care for in our Residential program. Our focus must stay upon the children, and their families.
Honoring Christ by Serving the needs of Children and families. Sheridan House was established in 1968 as a home for boys who were having behavioral problems. A social services division was established which annually provides over 600 single mothers with food, basic living resources, automobiles, financial counseling and other assistance.
